Quotes from a real pricebook
A pipeline for new work, and a quote engine tested against the contractor's own pricing workbook. Quotes go out as a PDF with an Approve or Decline link.
Software for fire sprinkler, alarm and backflow contractors
RiserOS is field service and sales software for fire protection contractors. Quote the work, inspect on an iPad with no signal, schedule the crew, and see what every job really made.
No sign-up. Pick a role and look around. The demo holds sample data only.
Replace missing FDC caps
Photos attached. Quote draft ready to price.Saved on this iPad. Syncs when the signal comes back.
RiserOS works out where each job stands from what has actually happened to it: a quote answered, a part covered, a visit finished, an invoice recorded. Nobody has to remember to drag a card.
A new lead, or a failed inspection item, is a job waiting for a price. The estimator owns it.
The quote went out with Approve and Decline links. Reminders follow on the schedule you set.
Mark what is covered from stock or on order. A visit can still be booked, and you are warned, not blocked.
Approved and covered. Dispatch picks a day and a crew.
Technicians see it on My Day. On the way, On site and Finished are the time clock, so the timecard is a byproduct of the work.
The visit is done. A manager reviews the report, the hours and the costs.
Signed off work lands with billing, with a packet ready to send. Once it is invoiced the job locks.
Every step has an owner, a person or a role, so the morning question is never "who has this?"
Riser rooms and pump houses rarely have signal. Technicians save an inspection to the iPad, answer it, take photos and capture signatures with no connection, and everything syncs when they are back above ground.
| Form | Usually inspected to |
|---|---|
| Sprinkler, annual and quarterly | NFPA 25 |
| Fire alarm | NFPA 72 |
| Backflow prevention assembly | Local water authority |
| Fire extinguisher | NFPA 10 |
| Kitchen hood suppression | NFPA 96 and 17A |
| Special hazard suppression | By system type |
| Emergency and exit lighting | NFPA 101 |
| Fire pump churn test and five-year internal pipe | NFPA 25 |
| Work order and service summary | Customer signature required |
Every form is data your administrator can edit, and editing one never rewrites a report that was already sent. The standards column is a reference, not a compliance opinion. Your authority having jurisdiction decides what applies.

A failed item turns into a repair at submit, with the technician's photos, ready to price. The customer gets a report link, not an attachment to lose.
Register each system once. RiserOS tracks when each inspection is due, lists what is coming, and emails the reminders.
Book visits by day and crew, with a warning when a technician's credentials do not fit. The office sees who is on the way and who is on site.
Weeks are submitted, approved and frozen, then exported in the columns your payroll company asks for. A raise never rewrites an old job's margin.
See what each job and each building really made, by region, with the hours that were actually worked.
A national customer's rules show on the visit card, their work order is signed in the app, and the signed bundle goes back to them.
Each water district's own backflow report is filled from the inspection and sent to them, with a queue so a bounced one gets noticed.
Technician licenses and certifications are tracked by state and expiration, and the number that prints matches the building's state.
The packet carries the price and the report and never a wage, a cost or a margin, so the people who invoice see what they need and no more.
Requirements by occupancy type come from a reviewed table of standards. AI never states a code requirement, and a claim from a single source is shown as a question.
A quote or a report keeps its prices, its customer details and its photos as of the day it went out. Editing the catalog later cannot change it.
Quote totals are computed in one place and tested against the contractor's own workbook, so the number on screen is the number on the PDF.
RiserOS is being proven with a fire protection contractor in Kentucky and is opening to a few more companies.
RiserOS is field service and sales software for fire protection contractors. It covers quoting, inspections and reports, scheduling, technician time tracking, payroll export, billing and job profitability in one system, so a job is entered once and followed from the first call to the paid invoice.
RiserOS is for contractors who sell, inspect and repair life safety systems: fire sprinkler, fire alarm, backflow testing, fire extinguisher, kitchen hood and special hazard suppression, and fire pump work. It is built for a company with an office and a crew of technicians, including companies that serve national accounts.
Yes. Save an inspection to the iPad before going into the building and fill it out with no signal. Answers, photos and signatures are kept on the device and sync when the connection returns, and nothing is sent twice. Starting a brand new inspection needs a connection, which is why the app asks you to save it for offline first.
The catalog covers sprinkler (annual and quarterly), fire alarm, backflow assembly, fire extinguisher, kitchen hood suppression, special hazard suppression, emergency and exit lighting, fire pump churn tests, five-year internal pipe inspections, and a work order and service summary. Every form is data an administrator can edit, and editing one never changes a report that was already sent.
Each failed item becomes a repair automatically when the inspection is submitted. The repair carries the technician's photos, can be priced into a quote in one step, and shows its status from the quote the customer answers. Nothing has to be retyped.
AI is used only to research prospects, and every result is labeled as such. Code requirements never come from AI: they come from a reviewed table of standards by occupancy type. A fact that only one source reported is shown as a question rather than as a fact.
Not directly yet. RiserOS produces a billing packet and an invoice worksheet you can import into your accounting system, and a configurable payroll export that matches your payroll company's file. A direct QuickBooks Online connection is planned.
Importing existing customer and building lists is planned and is not available yet. Today a new company starts with an empty system and adds work as it comes in.
RiserOS is in private beta with a fire protection contractor in Kentucky and is being opened to a few more companies. You can try the live demo right now: it needs no sign-up, and you can look at it as an administrator, a salesperson, a technician or a billing clerk.
